Job Description
Job Title: Technical Manager\n \nLocation: Midlands/Yorkshire (portfolio will be coverage)\n \nReporting into:\n \nCBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager to work across a portfolio with coverage across the UK.\n \nResponsibilities:\n\nTo act as the principal client facing technical expert across all service lines\nProvide the onsite teams with general engineering support as required and in emergencies\nProvide Business Development team technical support to provide solutions to meet varying customer requirements\nLiaise with wider business solutions to promote innovations in both new technology and service solutions\nAct as Senior Authorised Person/Authorising Engineer for the division\nProvide occasional OOH support for account teams (planned and emergency)\nProduce standardised documentation and processes that can be utilised and tailored by the site teams (i.e., Forward Maintenance Register, Risk Registers)\nSupport business development managers with new opportunities\nProvide investigation and root cause analysis across the division as required, producing reports and learning from experience documents to be shared internally/externally\nLiaise and work in partnership with the QHSE team\nPromote customer experience and wellbeing through good operation of building service systems\nProvide technical support the division project team\nSupport account teams in producing business focused maintenance strategies and reliability\nTo be the SME for technical excellence within the Corporate Services division and drive the standardisation of best practices across all contracts\nAct as a Senior Authorised Person/Authorising Engineer for relevant technical disciplines (Electrical/Pressure/Confined Spaces)\nSupport site teams with technical operations across all building service engineering disciplines\nChampion technical solutions & innovations\nMentor and grow the engineering standard of engineers across the division, ensuring best practice and knowledge is shared\nPromote safe methods of working ensuring CBRE GWS Technical Safety Rules and Procedures are implemented correctlyQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience\n\nPreferably professionally registered (IEng or CEng) or working towards this\nPreferably HNC or Degree in Building Service Engineering or relevant engineering subject\nCurrent experience as Senior Authorised Person or Authorising Engineer in either Electrical, Mechanical and Confined Spaces and/or implementing safe system of works\nExperienced in a wide range of building service engineering systems\nCustomer facing across a varied customer base\nProven track record of technical problem solving\nAbility to communicate technical subject to non-technical customers and team members\nAbility to produce technical reports\nFlexibility to provide support at short notice
