We are seeking a Technical Records Specialist to support aerospace product certification activities. This role will focus on researching, locating, reviewing, and organizing historical engineering and certification records for legacy aviation products.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with technical documentation, engineering records, and product data systems. This person will help ensure product certification information is accurate and complete by comparing historical records with current licensing and product requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Access and review technical data from multiple systems, including product lifecycle management tools, technical publications databases, secure internal servers, and archived records
- Locate and compile product certification documents for legacy aerospace products
- Review engineering records, drawings, manuals, and certification documentation
- Compare product part numbers and certification data against FAA Technical Standard Order (TSO) requirements
- Identify documentation gaps, discrepancies, or between product configurations and certification records
- Maintain accurate records and prepare documentation summaries for internal teams
- Support engineering, certification, and licensing activities related to legacy products
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Engineering Technology, Aviation, Technical Writing, or a related field
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience working with technical records, engineering documents, or configuration data
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation tasks
Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, aviation, or manufacturing environments
- Technical writing or technical publications experience
- Experience with PLM/document management systems (such as Teamcenter or similar tools)
- Familiarity with FAA certification processes or aviation documentation standards
