Technical Consultant\n\nLocation: – Can work in Cheltenham or London\n\nContract Type: Permanent (Hybrid and Flexible)\n\nRequired Salary: Negotiable depending on experience\n\nThe Company\n\nMy client is in the insurance sector (do not apply unless you have the specific experience of the insurance sector and have the skill set below)\n\nJob Role\n\nTo maximize opportunities for technical knowledge development across the organization and collaborate with senior leadership to drive business growth and service enhancements.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\nProcess London Market Insurance underwriting data following established procedural guides.\n\nAnalyse technical data and calculate transactions, including limits, premiums, and deductions.\n\nAddress technical queries within the team/business, ensuring client communications are accurate and necessary.\n\nIdentify skills gaps and design/deliver inclusive training programs, offering guidance and feedback.\n\nOrganize and manage documentation for data processing, providing workflow prioritization.\n\nProduce and review internal and external (client) reports.\n\nRecommend and document process improvements, ensuring clear communication to all stakeholders.\n\nParticipate in client governance meetings, offering solutions to technical challenges.\n\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement focused on enhancing the customer experience.\n\nDevelop and document technical solutions for new clients/services from implementation to final approval.\n\nPromote company services and contribute to RFP/Proposal/CRC processes.\n\nSupport the onboarding of new clients/services.\n\nAct as a technical lead on company projects, ensuring knowledge transfer and staff training.\n\nAssist in analysing market initiatives and their impact on the business.\n\nPersonal Skills\n\nExtensive knowledge of insurance market structures, practices, and regulations.\n\nAbility to articulate and promote the company’s services.\n\nExperience with direct and reinsurance placements.\n\nProficiency in interpreting insurance documentation and data.\n\nStrong understanding of relevant classes of business and ability to engage with client operations, underwriting, and leadership teams.\n\nAwareness of market initiatives and their impact on the company.\n\nKnowledge of resource planning and utilization.\n\nUnderstanding of financial pricing models and CRC processes.\n\nACII qualification or relevant degree .\n\nFor further information, please contact Rhian Mountjoy.\n\nBy responding, we will register you as a candidate with Seymour John Limited.
