Job Title: Technical Construction Inspector
Location: Aurora, CO (onsite)
Duration: Anticipated through September 2026, with an optional five-year extension.
Job Summary: We are seeking a Technical Construction Inspector to provide monitoring and documentation of construction progress on a federal installation. In this role, you will provide monitoring of contractor work, ensuring compliance with technical documents, safety plans, and quality standards and serve as a technical advisor to the Base Civil Engineer (BCE) and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), assisting in the management of large-scale federal construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring reports, including the AF IMT 1477 Construction Inspection Record.
- Advise on contractor Requests for Information (RFIs), design errors/omissions, and change order requests.
- Provide official minutes for pre-bid site visits, preconstruction conferences, and weekly project meetings.
- Identify and document noncompliance with contractor safety and quality control plans
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years in construction management and oversight.

- Within the required five (5) years of experience, candidates should preferably have working knowledge of Federal, State, and military (DoD, Air Force, ANG) construction and engineering regulations, including UFC, FAR, OSHA, applicable Life Safety Codes, engineering technical orders, agency SOPs, safety protocols, and relevant building codes and standards (NFPA, ASTM, ACI, IBC, and NEC).
- Background in engineering, construction, and constructability requirements associated with large projects and experience in managing MILCON construction or large repair/SRM (Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization) projects.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Must be able to obtain DBIDS/Green Line base access badges.
- Valid driver’s license required
