Our client an established engineering/renewable based company are looking to hire a Technical Architect to work on an AI & Automation project for the business.Job Title: Technical ArchitectLocation: Birchwood, WarringtonDuration: 6 Months - view to being extendedRates: Competitive Hourly Rates - Inside IR35Remote, with 2-days onsite travel - Site T&S will be ExpensedJob Description:We're seeking an experienced Technical Architect with automation and AI experience to support the delivery of our Technology programme. .You'll shape technical strategy, design scalable architectures, and ensure solutions align with business goals and enterprise standards.The key point with the job spec is that the resource we're searching for must be a Tech Architect first and foremost, Automation expertise is the secondary pillar (not the other way around).Must be sole UK .Remote, with 2-days onsite travelResponsibilities:Define scalable architectures, data flows, and system integrationsShape technical strategy aligned to business goals and standardsHigh level technical architecture leadership across automation and AI programmesDesign robust, future-proof solutions to meet evolving needsEvaluate emerging technologies and deliver proof-of-conceptsSupport full project lifecycle from concept to implementationCollaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersIdentify and manage technical risks and dependenciesDrive operational efficiency, automation, and reduce technical debtSupport M&A through technical due diligence and system integrationRequirements:Proven experience as a Technical Architect across multiple technology domainsStrong knowledge of frameworks such as ITIL, Prince2, TOGAF, and ArchimateExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience working in matrixed environments and fast-paced delivery settingsStrong organisational and project management capabilitiesAutomation experience (e.g. Power Platform, UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere)AI knowledge including LLMs, Copilots, and Microsoft AI ecosystemData platform experience (e.g.
