Alignment & Compliance Engineer (ACE)

Reports to the St. Louis office with travel frequent to client sites.

About the Role

ThrottleNet is looking for an Alignment & Compliance Engineer (ACE) to help drive consistency, security, and best practices across our client environments.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys digging into systems, identifying gaps, improving security posture, and turning technical findings into real business impact.

What You’ll Do

Perform technical assessments across client environments

Identify risks, gaps, and security vulnerabilities

Maintain clean, accurate documentation (IT Glue)

Align environments to ThrottleNet standards & best practices

Partner with vCIOs to support client strategy & roadmaps

Contribute to cybersecurity and compliance improvements

What You Bring

3+ years in IT (MSP experience strongly )
Strong knowledge of:

Microsoft 365 (Business Premium focus)

Networking fundamentals (firewalls, VPNs, switching)

Endpoint security & patching

Experience with documentation systems (IT Glue or similar)

Ability to translate technical issues into clear recommendations

Bonus Points For:

Familiarity with CIS, NIST, or cyber insurance requirements

Experience with RMM, SIEM, or security tools

Certifications (Security+, Network+, Microsoft, etc.)
