Job Description
Grant Engineering UK Ltd are seeking an Office Based Technical Advisor with a background in installing and maintaining domestic heating systems. This role provides technical advice to homeowners, engineers and installers for products both in and out of warranty. Initially a 6 month temporary role with a view to becoming permanent.
This role is a Monday to Friday (39.5hr) working week. Duties Include: Taking calls from engineers or installers on site for in warranty products, offering technical support and diagnosing faults whilst engineer is on site. Issue jobs for products covered by the manufacturer’s warranty to either the engineer on site or for customer services to allocate.
Dealing with customer/installer complaints, offer solutions and make decisions. Deal with the issue as diplomatically as possible. Logging calls onto the database by leaving notes for every conversation we have with the end users, Installers and engineer when discussing issues with products under warranty.
Answer technical related emails that are sent into the departments email address. Monitoring fault trends and communicating within the department mainly in the 5-minute meetings. Ensure these issues are recognised and actioned, if necessary, i.e., concern notice to Manufacturing dept.
Input job sheets onto the customer database and filing them into the relevant folders. Advise engineers, contractors, architects, consultants and the general public on various heating and hot water systems requirements. Assist colleagues with design and technical queries that they may be unsure of.
