6 month + contract with likelihood of extension. Located in Downtown Houston. 4 days onsite.

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead + .NET Solution Architect to join our team on a contract basis. This individual will guide technical direction, lead a small development team, and shape architectural decisions for enterprise‐grade .NET applications. The ideal candidate combines strong hands‐on .NET expertise with exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership
• • Lead and mentor a small team of .NET developers.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering best practices and coding standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide actionable feedback.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the development team.
• Architecture & Design
• • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and enterprise architects to translate requirements into scalable technical designs.
  • Define architectural blueprints, integration patterns, and application frameworks.
  • Recommend modern technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve performance and maintainability.
• Hands‐On Development
• • Contribute to development efforts in complex or high‐impact areas.
  • Apply experience building enterprise‐grade B2B and B2C .NET applications.
  • Ensure solutions meet scalability, security, and performance standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‐technical audiences.
  • Participate in planning sessions, architectural reviews, and roadmap discussions.
  • Align technical execution with business goals.

Must‐Have Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
• Proven experience leading small development teams and enforcing engineering best practices.
• Strong architectural background with hands‐on experience designing and implementing .NET applications.
• Extensive experience with enterprise B2B and B2C .NET applications.
• Deep knowledge of .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Web API, microservices, RESTful APIs, CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud platforms (Azure ).
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Nice‐to‐Have Skills

• Experience with front‐end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized architectures.
• Exposure to enterprise integration patterns and messaging systems (Service Bus, Kafka).
• Background in performance tuning, security hardening, or application modernization.
