About the Role
The Systems Test Engineering (STE ) supports the team responsible for building the structure and processes for the "right side of the V" in Systems Engineering (verification & validation). In this role, you'll help design, implement, and improve automated test pipelines and the supporting workflows that make testing faster, more reliable, and easier for Systems Engineers to adopt.

About the Work

The STE role involves hands-on technical work to support the design, alignment, and continuous improvement of automated test pipelines and validation workflows:

  • Support the development of automated test pipelines and tooling, with a focus on ease of adoption and minimal friction for Systems Engineers.
  • Help drive standardization across testing modalities by contributing to consistent triage workflows and shared best practices across workstreams.
  • Help improve early detection of simulation failures during V&V execution by owning the automation work and reporting key performance metrics such as recall and precision.

About You

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
  • Ability to write production-quality code in Python and/or C++ to build automation and tooling
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated regression testing concepts
  • Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows (branching, pull requests, and code reviews)
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Interest in autonomous vehicles / robotics and safety-oriented validation workflows

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with autonomous driving simulators is beneficial
  • Ability to apply systems engineering concepts of requirements, verification and validation.
  • Experience in ML/Deep Learning

Note: This is a summer that will require in-office presence of 3-4 days a week in our Mountain View, CA location.

For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $11,500 to $14,000/month. Your actual base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills.
