Systems/ Test Engineer

NASC is seeking a skilled and experienced Test Engineer to join our team in support of critical defense acquisition programs.



DUTIES:

Developing, planning, integration, coordinating, and executing integrated based evaluations for the Army's Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems that aligns with program requirements, and applicable regulation. Provides Army material acquisition leaders independent System Evaluation Plans/Reports or System Assessments on the operational effectiveness, suitability, and survivability of equipment used by contractors, soldiers, and foreign partners. Develops test strategies, test and evaluation plans and concepts; coordinates with Operational Test Command, Capabilities Managers, and Program Managers to ensure completeness of test events and test reports. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team of military and civilian stakeholders from across the acquisition community to ensure comprehensive Test and Evaluations. The incumbent shall keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in test engineering to enhance test methods and tools. The incumbent shall be able to identify, document, and analyze test results to uncover issues; collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve defects and implement corrective actions.



WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will have extensive expertise in test engineering, including knowledge of DoDI 5000 and the Defense Acquisition System, DA PAM 73-1, IEEE-29148 and will contribute to the design, execution, and evaluation of comprehensive testing strategies. This role also involves utilizing cutting-edge tools and technologies, such as MATLAB, Python and other relevant software, to analyze data received from various sensors.

- 5 or more years of experience as a Test Engineer.

  • Working knowledge of DoDI 5000 and the Defense Acquisition System


QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Expertise in test and evaluation types and processes

- Familiarity with advanced test automation tools and methodologies.

- Experience with specific analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python

- Experience with CAD and Windchill

- Experience performing system audits and quality inspections

- Demonstrated experience in systems engineering and operational testing within the Department of Defense.

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance/access. A Single Scope Background investigation is required for this position.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in Engineering

- A masters degree or higher in a related field may be substituted for 3 years of experience as a Test Engineer.

- DAWIA Practitioner Certification in Test and Evaluation
