Job Title: Systems Software Engineer – Real-Time C++ Applications

Location: St Louis, Missouri

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Software Engineer with strong C++ skills and experience in real-time systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in system integration, troubleshooting, and development within complex environments, particularly related to defense or simulation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform system integration and troubleshooting of hardware/software modules, including updates from external teams
• Develop experimental prototypes and capabilities to be tested with end users and operators
• Collaborate closely with users to refine system requirements and improvements
• Support real-time simulation environments, including the Navy combat system or similar platforms
• Travel as needed for project support and coordination

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in C++: Strong coding skills with experience in system integration and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Python: Familiarity with developing graphical interfaces, dev tooling, or data analysis tasks
• SQL Skills: Basic understanding of SQL for data handling and management
• Experience with Real-time Systems: Knowledge of real-time environments and simulations, especially in defense or combat systems
• System Integration: Proven ability to integrate and troubleshoot new or updated software modules from external sources

Soft Skills:

• Self-motivated, intelligent, with the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly
• Creative thinker, eager to develop and improve system functionality
• Strong collaborator with team members and end-users in fast-paced settings

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to travel
• Must have a TS clearance

Qualifications:

• Experience with Surface Navy or similar combat systems
• Knowledge of graphical interface development with Python
