About the Opportunity

A well-established and growing professional services firm is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its Miami office. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and adaptable IT professional to work in a dynamic enterprise environment with exposure to a wide range of technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure (servers, switches, routers, firewalls, SAN)
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and security
• Apply software upgrades, patches, and ongoing system maintenance
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis on complex issues
• Document hardware, software configurations, and maintenance procedures
• Research and recommend emerging technologies and system enhancements
• Support and mentor IT staff, as well as assist end users including leadership teams
• Participate in occasional travel to regional offices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting experience across desktops, servers, storage, and networks
• Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Technical Experience (4+ Years Required)

• Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MS SQL
• Citrix XenApp / NetScaler
• Microsoft Exchange / Outlook
• VMware virtualization and enterprise storage
• Enterprise backup and disaster recovery (DR) solutions
• Check Point firewall configuration and policy management
• Disaster recovery processes (replication, failover, failback)

Nice to Have:

• Document Management Systems
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• certifications: MCSE, CCNP, VMware VCP
• Security certifications are a plus
