Systems Integration Engineer

 

As a Systems Integration Engineer, the successful candidate will design, implement and validate vehicle electrical systems by reviewing and approving device transmittals, developing vehicle-level logical schematics, conducting design/compatibility reviews, defining fusing and grounding strategies, supporting system-level validation/diagnostics, providing technical support for prototype and pre-production builds. You will also perform System Level tests for ECU integration by flashing ECU software and calibration files, performing configuration, commanding and analyzing self-test results, and performing functional tests.

·         Design electrical schematics Perform system level tests at Breadboard Support prototype vehicle builds

·         Support launch build events Troubleshoot system level issues

 

Skills Required:

1. Electrical Engineering – Must have electrical engineering background, either bachelor, minor or master’s degree, and demonstrated experience on electrical schematics design.

2. Electrical Wiring – Background on harness design is well appreciated, but not a must have.

 3. Systems Engineering – Must have experience on systems engineering, leading or being part of a team defining and developing components interfaces and interactions.

 4. Root Cause Analysis - Should be able to present a logical approach to decompose a problem into small elements that can be tested/checked for their contribution on the failure mode.

 

Experience Required:

·         Design/Develop program specific electrical system schematics

·         Support electrical device transmittal process: BSEM GDT Set-up, Create DT Status Report Develop program specific system FMEA and DVP (Validation Plans) Prototype Breadboards (parts list development & sign-off, validation, sign-off) Prototype Vehicle Builds (Yellowboard software flashing and configuration, functional sign-off, & troubleshooting) Lead compatibility reviews to verify all module and wiring interfaces

·         Support builds at production plant

 

Experience :

·         Electrical schematics design

·         CAN Network

·         ECU software flashing and diagnostics

·         Root Cause Analysis

 

Education Required:

Bachelor's Degree

 

Education :

Master's Degree

 

Additional Information :

Hybrid (4 days per week in the office / Can be 5-6 days depending on prototype and launch build needs.) Engineers working on the design phase are required to be in the office 4 days a week. Engineers supporting prototype builds or launch events are required to be 5 days in the office (prototype lab or assembly plant) and be aware that weekend support might be requested.
