Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in systems engineering, IT support, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
  • Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with system monitoring tools and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.

Core Competency Requirements

Systems Architecture and Design: Hands-on experience with physical server environments configured for high availability, infrastructure redundancy, and scalable design is required.
Advanced Networking Fundamentals: While a CCNA provides foundational knowledge, this role demands a deeper, practical understanding of networking concepts that go beyond the certification scope.
Virtualized Infrastructure: Familiarity with cluster-based designs, virtual machines, and storage replication strategies across nodes is crucial—especially in support of disaster recovery planning and failover handling.
Core IT Systems Support: Proficiency in Active Directory administration, logical IT troubleshooting, and systems-level problem solving is expected. The candidate must be capable of identifying root causes and resolving issues independently—not necessarily with advanced methods, but with a clear understanding of underlying systems.
