Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of complex full flight simulation systems.
This role is responsible for planning, analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, and lifecycle maintenance of advanced aircraft simulator platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise, deep simulation systems experience, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Architecture Design

Research and define simulator subsystems and integration strategies
-
Develop system diagrams, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and architecture documentation

Build and maintain system architecture models using CAMEO (or similar) and SysML
-
Apply system modeling techniques to visualize and analyze architecture and component interactions

Define integration strategies including interfaces with control systems models and data
Requirements Risk Management

Conduct requirements analysis (functional and non-functional)
-
Interpret and define system architectures, requirements specifications, and system models

Identify integration requirements and data exchange needs
-
Assess development and integration risks and propose mitigation strategies
Integration Testing
-
Develop integration plans and interface definitions
-
Participate in test planning and validation strategies
-
Verify and validate integrated simulation systems against defined requirements

Support design, build, successful test, and delivery of full flight simulators
Network Infrastructure Engineering

Design and manage network architecture between simulator systems and integrated server racks
-
Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers and switches
-
Perform system maintenance including patch management, configuration updates, re-racking, and re-cabling
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Liaise with process engineers, discipline engineers, and software teams throughout lifecycle execution

Utilize Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) for documentation and collaboration
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
-
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace) or related technical field

Minimum 5 years of systems engineering experience in simulation, aerospace, or related domain

Proven experience designing and developing a full flight simulation system

Proficiency in CAMEO (or similar) and SysML

Strong experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE/MBD)

Experience with requirements analysis methodologies and tools

Knowledge of system integration, verification, and validation practices

Experience with risk management processes

Understanding of control systems principles

US Citizenship required

Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance
Qualifications

Experience with aircraft, avionics, or aerospace control systems

Leadership experience overseeing full lifecycle development as Senior Systems Engineer or Program Manager

Experience with Extended Reality (VR/AR/MR) integration

Experience integrating and testing simulation image generators

Experience with scripting such as Python or C++

Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality systems

Network engineering certifications
