Day to day as a Systems Engineer - Senior Level
Mission Intelligence Group is on the lookout for a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to take the helm of multidisciplinary engineering teams, spearheading complex systems engineering initiatives within the System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner Federal Agencies. In this pivotal role, you will influence the architecture and integration of mission-critical GEOINT systems that underpin U.S. and allied operations. As a technical leader, you'll mentor mid- and junior-level engineers throughout the engineering lifecycle, focusing on requirements development, solution architecture, systems integration, and system performance optimization. You will lead user requirement planning, oversee solution designs, and guide systems integration efforts across multiple platforms.
Your expertise will be essential in conducting technical assessments, assisting in strategic planning, and operating at the enterprise level to ensure seamless integration of systems and services across organizational and agency boundaries. A keen understanding of systems integration principles, coupled with a strategic mindset, will allow you to effectively translate mission and customer needs into actionable requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle
- Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following fields:
- Systems Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Other related STEM disciplines
- OR 12 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas:
- DoD/Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition Processes
- Requirements development processes
- PPBES (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System)
- Systems engineering of large, complex System of Systems (SoS) or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)/Cloud environments
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master's degree in:
- Systems Engineering
- OR a related technical or scientific field (as listed above)
Certifications & Licensure
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- Working knowledge of:
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, , and processes
- Software Development Frameworks
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Photogrammetry
- Remote sensing
- Image science
- Information sciences
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Geomatics
- Other related geospatial fields
Domain Expertise:
- Documented work experience in the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) field
- In-depth knowledge of current:
- NSG – System for Geospatial-Intelligence
- ASG – Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence
- NRO – Reconnaissance Office enterprise
Professional Engagement:
- Membership or leadership in professional organizations such as:
- ACSM – American Congress on Surveying and Mapping
- ASCE – American Society of Civil Engineers
- ASPRS – American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
- OGC – Open Geospatial Consortium
- SAREM – Society for American Remote Earth Monitoring
