Advanced Intelligence Engineering is a Managed IT Services Provider in Wheaton, IL. AIE services the SMB marketplace in Chicago and the suburbs, providing cutting edge technology support and solutions. The Systems Engineer designs, recommends, and delivers exceptional IT solutions projects to our managed clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Design and deploy servers in on-premises and cloud environments, using VMWare, Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022/2025, and Microsoft Azure
•Implement and maintain local area networks, including switching, routing, firewalls, and configuration of remote access and site-to-site VPNs
•Document new client networks as a part of the onboarding process•Provide professional and responsive client communication and coordination throughout project engagements•Serve as top tier of escalation for complex desktop, server and network issues
•Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance
•Develop best practices standards for client systems
•Work with Service Delivery Manager to recommend technical direction for managed IT services offerings
•Work with sales team to scope and present projects and network assessments for both new sales and existing clients
•Work with other professional services team members to review and continuously improve standard operating procedures and best-practice workflows
•Provide technology leadership and mentoring to technical staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Minimum 5+ years' experience in IT systems engineering, with strong preference having worked at least 2 years at an MSP
•(Preferably) Possess one or more of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamenta ls, MS Certified Security/Compliance/ Fundamentals VMWare Certified Professional
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex technical issues simply•Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, ability to take ownership of problems
•Strong attention to detail and planning capabilities
