The Systems Engineer is responsible for being the intermediary for the systems teams, being the fallback subject matter expert for all systems engineer duties and being the primary cyber security resource. The Systems Engineer will partner with leadership on upgrading and implementing new technologies, processes, and security postures. Responsibilities: Help maintain knowledge base for systems and supported services Help create documentation for all processes and equipment Assist software in identifying, isolating, and remediating issues with their critical business functions Create tickets in a timely manner with 3rd party vendors and IT team to resolve any pending issues and keep everyone informed of status Collaborate with IT to resolve all issues in a timely manner Coordinate with clients and/or team members to resolve issues, reduce risk, and enhance user satisfaction Attend in-person meetings and collaborate with the IT team Monitor the hardware integrity and keep accurate reports to determine life expectancy, monitoring when warranties and/or licenses expire Build, deploy, troubleshoot and maintain all infrastructure servers at various locations Backup - maintain, troubleshoot and administer firewalls all locations Responsible for identifying internal/external cyber vulnerabilities for all locations as well as implementing timely remediation plans Assist in troubleshooting network issues at all locations Constantly work to improve current processes and procedures Responsible for administering, maintaining and troubleshooting the Citrix infrastructure Assist in network maintenance, upgrades & troubleshooting at various locations Participate as a SME for various enterprise software upgrades and installs when necessary Manage email services – On premises and cloud for email and filtering Manage email security services Manage end user security training requirements to include advising IT staff on campaign specifics Manage backups with backup software while ensuring best practice methodologies are being utilized Manage monitoring of infrastructure Manage end-point imaging process Perform diagnosis and resolution tasks for problem/service requests Manage backups with backup software while ensuring best practice methodologies are being utilized Experience: 7 years of experience with hardware systems and systems applications Familiar with DNS, TCP/IP configuration and server/systems industry best practices Experience with network switching, routing and firewalls Experience with IT/Cyber Security monitoring and remediation Technical skills such as Windows, Citrix, Exchange, and Microsoft Applications Excellent troubleshooting skills Ability to work occasional unusual hours for off-hours system upgrades or emergencies due to system errors for a 24x7x365 facility Strong written and verbal communication via phone, email, and instant message, as well as in person.
