Job title: Systems Engineer - MBSE\n\nRate: £83 per day inside ir35\n\nContract: 6 months+\n\nLocation: Reading/Hybrid (2-3 days per week on site) \n\nSC security clearance is required for this role \n\nI am looking for a System Engineer within product delivery for a client of mine who are a leading tech and engineering form operating within the UK defence sector. A fantastic opportunity and drive the digital transformation of engineering at the enterprise level.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\n\nOwn the delivery and evolution of MBSE digital capabilities-toolchains, model repositories, digital threads, and lifecycle environments.\nTranslate complex business and engineering needs into clear roadmaps and prioritized backlogs.\nEnsure end-to-end traceability from requirements through models, simulations, and test evidence.\nDrive adoption of model-centric practices, making models the single source of truth across programs.\nCollaborate across engineering, digital, and supplier teams to define standards, governance, and integration strategies.\nLead vendor engagement, technology evaluation, and innovation in simulation, digital twins, and model verification. \n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\nProven MBSE delivery experience (SysML/UML, IBM DOORS NG, TeamCenter, simulation orchestration).\nStrong background in aerospace, defence, or regulated safety-critical industries.\nStrategic thinker with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
