Job Description

Systems Engineer - Linux - AWS - £100K+

Our client is a leading SaaS company, building innovative solutions for Data Analytics, Machine Learning and AI in the financial services.

Offering hybrid, flexible, working they’re looking to hire an experienced Linux Engineer and good experience across Ansible, Packer and AWS.

From day one you’ll be involved in the design, build, implementation and support of innovative Linux systems with a focus on availability, performance, reliability, and security - From bare-metal through to virtualisation, AWS Cloud, DevOps and automation.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across a range of projects, tools and technologies and have real ownership of your work – A very varied challenge!

Requirements:

- Proven experience of Linux administration and engineering

- Great understanding of RPM packaging, systems, networking and storage

- Great AWS skills

- Knowledge of Ansible and DevOps methods

- Packer skills - HCL / JSON templates, builder vs. provisioner distinction etc

- Strong CI/CD understanding

- Excellent communication skills and a motivated, proactive, approach to work

- The ability to take the lead on work and drive projects forwards
