Base pay range

$108,496.00/yr - $149,183.00/yr

Join our team! As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle. products and processes through the product lifecycle. This role will serve as an EMP subject matter expert, helping verify that systems/subsystems meet specific survivability requirements to ensure operation through a nuclear event. In addition, this individual will be responsible for maintaining communication between multiple subcontractors to support requirements development, proved technical oversight, and review/approve subcontractor documentation.

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Subject matter expert in MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-3023 and MIL-STD-2169

Good familiarity with HEMP and CS116

Support overall system needs and act as a technical consultant in HEMP for design teams, management, and customers

Ability to write, interpret, tailor, and flow down EMP requirements to all design levels.

Demonstrate success in leading RF design projects from concept through production

Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles

An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB, Cameo or IMS

Practical knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to requirements management, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)

Experience or certification in MIL standards

Ability to conduct cable and harness design analysis, Design chassis and harness shielding, select EMI filters, and designing interface circuitry for achieving EMI/EMP compliance.

Experienced in electrical design: Circuit design/simulation evaluations, circumvention and recovery methods, photocurrent transient protection mitigation

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

Ability to administer baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures

Exposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)

Active Top Secret clearance

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

This position requires current/active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
