Systems Engineer Hampshire £50-60k Bonus Benefits We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join the Custom Projects Group, working at the forefront of subsea technology across the Energy, Ocean Science, Offshore Renewables and Defence sectors. As part of a world-class engineering team, you will play a central role in the design, development, testing and delivery of bespoke subsea systems and instruments. From gathering customer requirements to leading technical solutions through design, prototyping, validation and final delivery, youll be directly involved in projects that range from £50k£2M in scope. Youll collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers and external stakeholders to create robust solutions that meet demanding specifications, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role where youll not only define architectures and lead verification processes but also diagnose and resolve system-level challenges, while providing clear technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle. The position offers a mix of independent responsibility and cross-disciplinary teamwork, as well as opportunities for and international travel, including visits to the Plymouth Trials facility. We are looking for a degree-qualified engineer with a proven background in systems design, implementation or engineering delivery. Strong communication skills, a methodical approach and the ability to work autonomously are essential. Experience across electronics, software or mechanical disciplines is advantageous.
