About the role
Job title: Systems Engineer
A brief summary
We’re looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Riot Games’ Remote Broadcast Center in Seattle.
As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a team responsible for supporting and maintaining esports infrastructure. You’ll serve as a key contributor within a self-directed, cross-functional team, address systems engineering needs while working on critical riot esports services. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in systems support, problem solving mindset, and a passion for maintaining reliable infrastructure.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Operate and maintain infrastructure and systems that support players, fans, and Rioters, including emergent and on-call work.
- Support imaging, deployment, and day-to-day troubleshooting across Windows and Linux environments.
- Provide hands-on support for server hardware, including installation and maintenance.
- Deploy and manage resources within cloud service providers.
- Participate in team rituals and contribute to work system artifacts (stand-ups, retrospectives, planning sessions).
This role is for you if
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Systems, Support or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Experience with Okta and a good understanding of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth2).
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Proficiency with image deployment tools (FOG, SCCM, Autopilot).
- Experience supporting and maintaining services across both Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience use Git for version control.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Occasionally required to push or pull road cases.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Familiarity with automation/configuration tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience with Jenkins, Docker and virtualization platforms.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure).
