Position Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Washington, DC (on-site)
Clearance: TS/SCI. Due to the nature of this government contract, U.S. Citizenship is required.
NEOSTEK, Inc. is looking for a Systems Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of systems to support business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system engineering, with specific experience in VMware and scripting.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage complex IT systems and infrastructure.
- Maintain and optimize VMware environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate system administration tasks and improve efficiency.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project requirements and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field .
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related role.
- Active Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI .
- Proficiency in virtual machines and VMware administration and management.
- Proficiency in scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Familiarity with security standards and practices, such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Due to the nature of this government contract, US citizenship is required.
- A current TS clearance.
- 4+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related role.
