Forge Forward is searching for a Systems Engineer to support a client in Pearl City, HI. This position requires 3-5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, IT Virtualization, or a similar role. This will be a hybrid position. The amount of time on-site will be determined by the needs of the client. US citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.

Candidate should have experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT environments built on VMware foundation. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the virtual desktop system infrastructure delivers an effective user experience while aligning to all DoD requirements. Candidate will also support conducting analysis of alternatives for new technologies, configuring and deploying solutions globally, and troubleshooting operational networks as needed.

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• Must be able to earn DOD 8570 IAT-III certification within six months-- CEH, CISSP, or similar.
• US with minimum Secret clearance. Will be required to elevate to TS/SCI clearance.

Functional Skills and Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge of VDI technologies, including VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, and Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Experience with network and storage infrastructure as it relates to VDI solutions.
• Experience with Agile engineering practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working in a DoD environment.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with CMPRO, SPIDER, JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, Citrix Certified Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty) are desired.
