Program: DoD FMS – Airspace and Surface Radar Reconnaissance (ASRR) Aerostat System

Medical Requirements: Ability to meet Army Conus Replacement Center (CRC) MOD-17 medical requirements for deployment.

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support Department of Defense (DoD) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program network infrastructures.

Position Overview:

This position provides enterprise-wide systems engineering and integration support to an 24/7 operational government customer. The candidate will be required to possess demonstrable technical skills and the ability to work constructively and collaboratively across multiple functional and technical areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the logical/systematic conversion of requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements, data storage, backup, monitoring, operations systems, directory services, management, access management, and automation
  • Troubleshoot and analysis of problems with major systems such as VMware, storage systems, and Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Provide systems engineering and integration support to assess, plan, coordinate, schedule and implement projects from inception through system transition.
  • Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tools for device hardening and compliance verification.
  • Support system integration efforts and provide reliable data to the customer enabling them to make informed decisions regarding the installation, integration checkout, and test of operational system modifications and upgrades.
  • Communicate with many levels within the program, other contractor and government stakeholders and work to positively influence at an operational level regarding policies, procedures and practices.
  • This role will support systems engineering and integration on state-of-the-art systems in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Clearance: Government Security Clearance eligibility required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as a System Engineer supporting DoD programs.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Server and PC Operating Systems. 
  • Proficient with Linux Operating System.
    • Extensive experience Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, GPO, & Active Directory.
    • Experience with Firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
    • Strong understanding of VMware and/or Hyper-V.
    • Experience with DISA STIGs & SCAP Compliance Checker
  • Certifications: Must possess current CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and Teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate security risks.

:

  • Related military training and/or job experience.
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Python).
  • Experience integrating cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with hybrid multi-cloud environments, scripting, and system engineering processes.
  • Additional Certifications a plus: CompTIA A+, MCP, Network+, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, VCP, CASP.
  • Knowledge of NATO Regulations: Familiarity with NATO cybersecurity frameworks, including Technical and Implementation Directive on CIS Security (AC/322-D/0048-Rev3).
