World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit 2x Systems Design Engineer subcontractors on an initial 12 month contract.\n \nRate: £80.00 per hour\nOvertime Rate: Hours worked over the standard 37 hours per week, will be paid at ‘time and a quarter’\nLocation: The role can be based either from the companies Stevenage, Bolton or Bristol sites\nHybrid / Remote working: circa 4 days onsite (more remote working may be possible) \nDuration: 12 Months with very likely extension. Contracts are often ongoing and long-term thereafter \nIR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)\nInterview process: One stage video interview\n \nSystems Design Engineer Job Description:\n\nSeekers department develop RF Seekers for use in Missile products.  \n\nResponsibilities:\n\nWorking as part of team developing system architecture and design utilising MBSE.\nDeriving and managing requirements\nCommunicating with various stakeholders with the Seeker team and the external customer and suppliers\nDeveloping Physical and Functional Architecture using SysML techniques.\nDeveloping Seeker Functional and Operational function and design.\nSkillset/experience required:\n\nExperience with deriving and managing requirements,\nExperience with generating Functional and Physical Architecture using SysML, ARCADIA, or similar MBSE ,\nExperience dissecting and understanding customer requirements and disseminating them down into lower-level subsystem requirements and complex functional architectures,\nConsistent ability to deliver required output within agreed timescales,\nSkill in cultivating strong relationships with colleagues, external departments and customers,\nExperience with Model based Systems Engineering,\nExperience with Systems engineering tools like DOORS / DOORS Next / Rhapsody / Capella desirable,\nExperience with MATLAB and Simulink desirable,\nKnowledge of RF/microwave and electronic systems, radar and control systems, and digital signal processing is desirable
