What will you be doing?

We’re looking for a System Design Engineer to join a high-profile defence project, contributing to the design of safety-critical control systems in line with aerospace standards. If you're passionate about solving complex technical challenges and making a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Support Preliminary & Critical Design Reviews
  • Review and validate design changes and software high-level requirements
  • Develop control system requirements for airborne applications
  • Conduct FMEA/FMECA and safety analysis
  • Apply ARP4754, DO-178B/C and DO-254 guidance in a regulated environment
  • Represent systems engineering in cross-functional reviews

Who are we looking for?

  • Comfortable writing and reviewing system/software requirements
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, lifecycle impact, and change validation
  • Experience with model-based systems and digital engineering toolsets
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly across teams
  • Knowledge of safety analysis techniques (FMEA, FMECA)

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Controls Engineering
  • Background in product development within a safety-critical environment
  • Exposure to EASA/FAA certification processes is a plus
  • Previous work on gas turbine engines or propulsion systems is desirable
