Job Description
Reed Technology is working with an established institution based in East Lothian, currently hiring an experienced Systems & Data Analyst to take ownership of HR/Payroll and Finance system improvements, reporting, and day-to-day support. This new role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, configuring systems, and driving meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on HR/Payroll and Financial systems configuration, automations, improvements, and monthly data preparation.
- Support maintenance of staffing data within systems.
- Maintain finance system structures (e.g., chart of accounts, user setups).
- Manage system queries and provide end-user support.
- Build and enhance reports across HR and Finance systems.
- Test and implement system updates, enhancements and configuration changes.
- Improve system functionality and data quality across both platforms.
- Create documentation and support user training when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience supporting and developing HR/Payroll and/or Finance systems.
- Strong understanding of finance, payroll and HR processes.
- Confident in building reports and improving workflows.
- Excellent analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communicator able to explain technical issues clearly.
- Able to manage priorities and work independently.
Desirable:
- Experience with Unit4, iTrent, Business Objects, Power BI or Proactis.
