Location- Chelsea, MI- 100% onsite
1- year of experience with controls/robotics/drives/PLCs, HMI/VFD/Circuit design/sensors use/calibration and application is .
This candidate leads all hardware/software troubleshooting, repair, installation, maintenance and integration at our various test facilities.
The Engineer will work with our instrumentation technicians (UAW) employees to meet customer needs in a fast paced, multi-faceted, unionized, testing environment. The selected candidate will coordinate all PLCs, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and software integration activities across the various test facilities and our calibration lab at the proving grounds.
Requirements:
· Minimum bachelor’s degree in any Engineering field
· Industrial automation experience with project management experience
· Ability to work overtime as required
· Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as required
· Ability to build effective business relationships with customers and all levels of an organization
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
