Job Description:
NDi is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to provide analytical and technical expertise supporting a large federal IT modernization and enterprise architecture program.
The Systems Analyst will lead the implementation of business and technical requirements, perform systems analysis and planning, conduct application testing, and support database management and integration. The role requires experience working with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and enterprise architecture tools such as IBM System Architect, ensuring that systems and processes align with mission, compliance, and interoperability standards.
Requirements:
- U.S Citizenship required.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- This position requires 5 days onsite in Dahlgren, VA. Please note that up to 40% remote work may become available but this determination will be made at a later stage.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Six (6) years of professional experience related to the implementation of business and technical requirements, systems analysis, planning, and development.
- Application testing and database management support.
- Qualified experience in Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and enterprise architecture tools such as IBM System Architect.
- Certifications (DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III), minimum of one: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (Associate or Full), GCED, GCIH, CySA+ CE, CCSP, PenTest+ CE, or GSE.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies, configuration management, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
- Expertise in requirements analysis, enterprise architecture, and system integration.
- Proficiency with DoDAF tools and modeling techniques.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, relational databases, and structured query (SQL).
- Ability to perform functional testing and validation of business and technical applications.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with developers, engineers, and government stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Systems Analysis & Planning:
- Analyze, document, and validate system and business requirements.
- Develop and maintain system specifications, architecture models, and process workflows using DoDAF tools.
- Support design reviews and technical interchange meetings to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Application Testing & Database Support:
- Develop test plans and conduct application testing to ensure functional compliance and performance.
- Support data analysis, migration, and validation across systems.
- Maintain documentation of test results, defect tracking, and resolution outcomes.
Architecture & Integration:
- Apply enterprise architecture principles to integrate systems across functional and technical domains.
- Use IBM System Architect and other modeling tools to capture and communicate system design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance interoperability and data sharing.
