Overview:
This position provides expert technical and office support for survey projects, serving as a trusted advisor within the survey team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex survey tasks and provide expert-level guidance to all levels of Survey Technicians.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed drawings, exhibits, legal descriptions, and advanced calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Perform quality control reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Lead deed research efforts and abstract complex data for legal and survey purposes.
- Act as a liaison between field crews, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated databases of survey data for long-term project use.
- Provide input on process improvements, training initiatives, and technology upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 10+ years of experience in a survey technician or related role.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with MicroStation is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and with clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to resolve complex survey challenges.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed.
