Infinity Engineering Consultants is hiring an Entry Level Advanced Measurements Technician to join our team! The selected candidate will be involved in 3D Laser Scanning, Aerial LiDAR Scanning, Hydrographic Surveying, and Topographic Surveying projects across the gulf coast. Responsibilities of the Advanced Measurements Technician include assisting in mission planning and execution, preparing/processing point cloud data, topographic mapping, preparing survey maps to include drafting in AutoCAD & Civil3D, and performing quality control and quality assurance, etc. It is , but not required, to possess knowledge of Trimble Business Center, Trimble Access, DJI Terra, and/or AutoCAD. This role will report to the Advanced Measurements Manager.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assists in planning of survey data acquisition projects
  • Completes work tasks on time, within budget, and to the QA/QC standards determined by the Advanced Measurements Manager or delegated supervisor
  • Prepares plans, exhibits, maps and surveys to comply with company standards and to meet client expectations.
  • Processes and analyzes survey data using Trimble Business Center (TBC)
  • Prepares field packages and information, data reduction efforts, and filing/archiving with accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Will be expected to obtain FAA sUAS pilot license
  • Provides support as needed related to the storage, transportation, assembly, and operation & maintenance of field equipment
  • Participates in training activities and actively seeks opportunities to contribute to the achievement of Infinity Engineering Consultants vision and goals
  • Assist with occasional drafting assignments
  • Assist with occasional assignments as a construction inspector

 

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Must have a High School Diploma; BS or AA in Survey/CAD or related field
  • Working knowledge of MS Office; experience with AutoCAD, and Civil3D
  • Effective written and verbal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities effectively and work in a team environment
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Must be dependable, resourceful, tech-savvy with the ability to learn on the fly.
  • Must be physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites under all weather conditions and terrain.
  • Ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs.; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition the ability to stand for long periods on varied surfaces.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must possess a valid LA driver's license and meet the Company's driver eligibility requirements
