We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Lead to oversee the launch of a new behavioral health division within our organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage complex projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. This is a long-term contract position based in Chicago, Illinois.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of a new behavioral health division, ensuring all project milestones are met.
• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining key deliverables, timelines, and dependencies.
• Coordinate efforts across clinical, operational, technical, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Manage the setting up of new office and clinical facilities, including infrastructure, vendor relationships, and regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate steering committee meetings with executive stakeholders, providing clear and actionable updates.
• Oversee IT system implementation to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
• Apply expertise in spinouts or joint ventures to establish sustainable business processes and organizational structures.
• Monitor and enforce accountability among internal teams and external partners using project management tools.
• Assist in setting up billing, credentialing, and revenue cycle processes for the new business unit.
• Ensure alignment with industry regulations and standards for behavioral health operations.
• Minimum of 10 years of project or program management experience, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health.
• Proven success in launching new business units, spin-offs, or joint ventures.
• Strong expertise in change management, cross-functional leadership, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience managing facility build-outs, IT systems implementation, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to define clear project outcomes and ensure deliverables meet established goals.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Project, Smartsheet, or Asana.
• PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Passion for working with underserved communities and aligning with mission-driven initiatives.
