Our client is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist in Burnsville.

This is a 90 day contract, potentially longer. This role is onsite, Monday-Friday.

Pay rate: $29.00-38.00/HR

Key Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Specialist:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and relevant demand plans that guide purchasing and production decisions.
  • Utilize material planning tools (e.g., FishBowl Inventory Management Software) to forecast, trigger, and track purchase and manufacturing work orders.
  • Perform purchasing duties by analyzing inventory levels and generating purchase orders for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers on quoting, order placement, and follow-up to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, and packing inventory and products.
  • Drive optimal inventory levels and track performance metrics such as Days on Hand and Inventory Turns.
  • Establish and implement best practices for inventory tracking, reconciliation, and accuracy, including periodic inventory counts.
  • Support field teams by managing trunk stock inventory as needed.
  • Partner with accounting to review purchase price variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality System requirements and environmental, health, and safety policies.

Qualifications of the Supply Chain Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the medical device industry or another complex manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with FishBowl Inventory Management Software or similar ERP/MRP systems.
