Our client is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist in Burnsville.
This is a 90 day contract, potentially longer. This role is onsite, Monday-Friday.
Pay rate: $29.00-38.00/HR
Key Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Specialist:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and relevant demand plans that guide purchasing and production decisions.
- Utilize material planning tools (e.g., FishBowl Inventory Management Software) to forecast, trigger, and track purchase and manufacturing work orders.
- Perform purchasing duties by analyzing inventory levels and generating purchase orders for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers on quoting, order placement, and follow-up to ensure on-time delivery.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, and packing inventory and products.
- Drive optimal inventory levels and track performance metrics such as Days on Hand and Inventory Turns.
- Establish and implement best practices for inventory tracking, reconciliation, and accuracy, including periodic inventory counts.
- Support field teams by managing trunk stock inventory as needed.
- Partner with accounting to review purchase price variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Quality System requirements and environmental, health, and safety policies.
Qualifications of the Supply Chain Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree required; in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the medical device industry or another complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with FishBowl Inventory Management Software or similar ERP/MRP systems.
