Job Title: Supply Chain Manager\n\nLocation: Manchester\n\nSalary:  £50,000 - £80,000\n\nThe Client\n\nOur client are an interior fit-out and refurbishment construction business with extensive experience of delivering commercial office refurbishments nationally. They are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their team.   \n\nThe Role of Supply Chain Manager\n\nTo lead and evolve our clients supply chain strategy, ensuring they are the client of choice for top-tier suppliers across the UK.

This role is pivotal in building and maintaining high-performing partnerships, driving compliance, and embedding continuous improvement across all supply chain activities. \n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPosition our client as the client for leading suppliers in the UK.\nIdentify, engage, and nurture relationships with the best-in-class suppliers across all trades.\nFoster a culture of mutual respect, transparency, and long-term collaboration.\n\nLead the pre-qualification process for new suppliers, ensuring alignment with company  standards.\nMaintain and evolve the supplier database with accurate, up-to-date information on competencies, insurance, and service scope.\nTarget and onboard suppliers to address gaps in capability, quality, or geographic coverage.\n\nDevelop and implement KPIs and performance standards for suppliers.\nMonitor and assess supplier performance post-project, using feedback loops to drive improvement.\n\nEstablish regular feedback channels with suppliers to gather market intelligence.\nUse insights to inform procurement strategies, rate negotiations, and commercial planning.\nCollaborate with the commercial team to support estimating and tendering processes.\n\nEnsure supply chain activities support ISOQAR certification for safety, quality, and environmental standards.\nIdentify and implement process improvements, including digital solutions for streamlining workflows.\nSupport the wider compliance team with documentation, reporting, and audit readiness.\n\nWork closely with the pre-contract, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure fair distribution of opportunities across the supply chain.\n\nProvide leadership and mentoring to junior team members, supporting their development.\n\nRequirements:\n\nProven experience in supply chain management, ideally within construction or related sectors.\nStrong relationship-building and negotiation skills.\nExcellent communication and organisational abilities.\nA strategic mindset with commercial awareness and attention to detail.\nComfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams.\nA proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation.\nStrong organisational and document control skills.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building abilities across all levels.\nStrategic thinker with commercial acumen and attention to detail.\nComfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.\nExperience in supply chain management or a keen interest in supplier development.\nProactive mindset with a desire to drive continuous improvement.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\n\nCompetitive salary commensurate with the seniority of the role\nHybrid working model with flexibility to work from London and Manchester offices, home, and sites as appropriate\nPerformance-related incentive scheme offering potential 10-15% of annual salary\nAdditional EOT (Employee Owned Trust) bonus with tax benefits linked to overall business performance\nImmediate in our managerial operations team\nOpportunity to build a team and influence business strategy\nPotential pathway to Senior Leadership Team\n\nKeywords: Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Supply Chain Coordinator, Procurement Director, Supply Chain Director
