Supply Chain Manager – Strategic Leadership in Purchasing, Logistics & Inventory Management
Location: One of La Porte, IN, Houston, TX, or Nephi, UT
Reports To: VP of Operations & Supply Chain
The Opportunity

What You’ll Lead
Purchasing & Supplier Partnerships
- Build and execute global sourcing strategies for hose, fittings, adapters, and related components.
- Negotiate supplier agreements that improve pricing, terms, and supply reliability.
- Elevate supplier performance through clear KPIs and collaborative improvement initiatives.
Inventory Strategy & Management
- Take full ownership of inventory health—balancing service levels, working capital, and turns.
- Leverage ERP and Power BI - driven forecasting and planning tools to prevent stockouts and reduce excess.
- Oversee cycle counting, physical inventory accuracy, and root cause resolution.
Logistics & Distribution
- Design and optimize inbound/outbound freight strategies to reduce cost and improve delivery speed.
- Manage carrier relationships and ensure performance against agreed SLAs.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
Cross-Functional Impact
- Align supply chain priorities with sales, operations, and finance to support business growth.
- Partner with engineering and product management to source for new product launches.
- Champion continuous improvement projects that deliver measurable gains in cost, lead time, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:
Your Background
- Proven track record managing purchasing, logistics, and inventory planning in manufacturing, machining, or industrial distribution.
- Deep understanding of ERP/MRP systems, inventory optimization, and demand forecasting.
- Skilled negotiator with the ability to secure competitive pricing and terms.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field; APICS/CSCP certification .
- Experience in the fluid conveyance industry is a strong advantage.
