SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
**This position requires a minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar manufacturing industry.**
**This position requires progressive ingredient sourcing experience in a nutraceutical, dietary supplement type industry.**
Position Summary: The Supply Chain Manager engages in the sourcing, design, planning, execution, control and supervision of supply chain activities to support the manufacturing business. The ideal candidate is responsible for developing and implementing a supply strategy that delivers the lowest total cost, reduces inventory, and maximizes customer satisfaction through world class service.

Predictive analysis
- Analyzes market trends and macro factors driving ingredient pricing and updates management of future changes through effective forecasting
- Acts as primary contact with Sales/Project Development and R&D team, continually networks to source new ingredients and develop new supplier relationships.
- Works with a sense of urgency to manage priorities and stay on top of critical responsibilities and deadlines
- Manages supplier segregation to categorize suppliers based on rick, importance, and performance
Vendor Management
- Maintains excellent relationships with company suppliers and contract manufacturers to manage costs, maintain quality and reduce lead times for completion and delivery of new products
- Resolves disputes with vendors
Procurement
- Ensures optimum MOQ ordering to minimize cost by leveraging MRP system
- Reviews Purchase order before placing order for data anomalies
- Manages Supplier certifications
- Negotiates Price & Lead Times; Cost Savings and COGS management are a priority in negotiations
- Tracks Supplier performance (based on arriving on time, in-full & quality)
- Reads and understands contracts
Logistics
- Serves as the primary interface with commercial suppliers to align procurement activities with operating priorities to achieve defined business and financial objectives.
- Primary resource for establishing, reviewing, and modifying contracts and supply agreements for contract manufactures and material suppliers (Raw Materials, Packaging, MRO)
- Pro-actively reaches out to suppliers and ensures on time delivery
Supervisory
- Supervises Buyers
- Serves as a key link between external suppliers and internal departments
- Manages MRO (Maintenance Supplies)
- Develops strategic sourcing plans including budget & price forecasts
- Conducts performance evaluations of assigned resources
- Coaches and mentors procurement team members
- Other related duties
Education/Experience/Skills:
- 10 Years + Global Sourcing experience, required, preferably in nutraceutical industry
- 5 Years+ progressive Ingredient Sourcing Experience,
- ·Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field,
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Has a broad, in-depth knowledge of ingredient & packaging suppliers for the nutraceutical supplement industry, preferably with established relationships
- Ability to make decisions under pressure and against tight timelines
- Project Management experience is a plus, understanding the flow from Product Development to Scale Up to Manufacturing.
- Proficient with ERP Systems (Sage X3), utilization of MRP and advanced skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
