Job Description
Vangst is seeking a Director of Supply Chain for one of our top clients — a leading, multi-state cannabis manufacturer known for innovation, quality, and operational excellence.

About the Opportunity
The supply chain is the backbone of this organization — connecting innovation to execution and ensuring high-quality products reach consumers consistently. As the company continues to expand nationwide, the Director of Supply Chain will play a critical role in designing systems, optimizing logistics, managing vendor relationships, and driving process improvements across multiple sites.
This role requires a balance of strategic vision and tactical execution. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across production, finance, and operations — and regularly travel to company facilities and vendor locations throughout the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a supply chain strategy focused on scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
- Manage sourcing, procurement, and vendor relationships — negotiating contracts that balance cost, quality, and delivery.
- Oversee inventory planning, logistics, and fulfillment operations to ensure seamless material flow and on-time performance.
- Partner with production and finance teams to align supply chain initiatives with broader business goals.
- Drive ERP implementation and process automation to enhance accuracy, visibility, and transparency.
- Build and strengthen partnerships with domestic and international manufacturers (experience with suppliers in China is a plus).
- Analyze key metrics, identify bottlenecks, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and develop team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and curiosity.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and industry regulations while upholding the highest quality and safety standards.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations within manufacturing, CPG, or regulated industries (cannabis/hemp ).
- Proven success managing vendors, leading procurement, and optimizing inventory systems.
- Experience with overseas manufacturing (China ) and ERP system implementation or upgrades.

- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $70,000 – $100,000+, commensurate with experience.
