The Supply Chain Coordinator oversee and optimizes the daily operational flow of products and materials from raw sourcing to final delivery.  This role acts as the central hub of our logistics network, aligning inventory levels, supplier communication, and transport schedules to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.  The ideal candidate will provide proactive communication to resolve inventory/shipping issues before they disrupt production or customer satisfaction.  This role works closely with production, commissary, operations and finance.

Direct Supervisor:  Operations Manager

Job Description:  The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to, all the items listed below:

  • Logistics Coordination: Manage daily domestic shipping schedules, carrier selections, and transport routing.
  • Supplier Management:  Monitor vendor performance, lead times, and schedule compliance to ensure timely material arrivals.
  • Inventory Control:  Reconcile physical inventory discrepancies, track stock levels, and issue purchase orders to prevent stockouts.
  • Documentation Compliance:  Oversee accurate preparation of bills of lading, paperwork, packing lists, and freight invoices.
  • Strategic Sourcing:  Proactively source alternative suppliers to drive down material costs while strictly maintaining established quality benchmarks.
  • Cross-Functional Communication:  Partner with Finance, Operations, and Warehouse teams to maintain absolute visibility over productions and order processing.
  • Performance Reporting:  Will be responsible for reporting issues/discrepancies to the Operations Manager and working on corrections before they interrupt daily operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  •  Professional Experience:  1-2 years of direct experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain coordination.  This role is open to new graduates. 
  • Technical Skills:  Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Education:  Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience. 

Essential Core Competencies

  • Problem-Solving:  Ability to think on your feet during sudden logistical breakdowns and execute immediate workarounds.
  • Negotiation Skills:  Proven capacity to evaluate shipping rates and negotiate favorable terms with freight carriers and vendors.
  • Extreme Attention to Detail:  Absolute precision when tracking complex quantities, serial numbers, and regulatory shipping details. 
  • Time Management:  Capacity to juggle multiple high-priority emails, shipments, and vendor demand simultaneously.
