Supply Chain Coordinator
Job Description
A growing manufacturing company located in the north suburbs is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to support its distribution and inventory planning operations. This position will start on a contract basis with the intent to convert to permanent after 90 days. The role is fully onsite during the contract period and will transition to a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 remote) once hired permanently. Overview
The Supply Chain Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring products move efficiently through the company’s supply chain network. This includes managing inventory levels, creating distribution orders, analyzing replenishment data, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize routes and ensure timely product availability. The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and clear communication with cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends and historical data to forecast product demand
- Manage stock levels to balance availability and cost control
- Create and manage distribution orders
- Collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to coordinate product flow
- Monitor performance metrics and recommend process improvements
- Identify and resolve distribution or inventory issues efficiently
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related function
- Proficient in Excel; familiarity with ERP or planning systems
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities
Compensation and Conversion
- Hourly rate during contract period. Salary once converts to perm
- Strong potential for full-time hire at 90 days based on performance
