We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Materials Buyer/Planner to join our team in Jonesboro, AR. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly by managing the procurement and planning of materials. If you have a knack for negotiation, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for optimizing supply chain operations, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and quality of materials.
• Analyze inventory levels and forecast material needs to support production schedules.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements.
• Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
• Assist in resolving any supply chain issues that may arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Materials Buyer or Planner in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in materials procurement.
