Supply Chain Analyst - Material Planning
Job Description
Location: Honolulu, HI
Wimmer Solutions is looking for a Material Planning & Supply Chain Support contractor. This contract position provides both project and operational support to the Material Planning and Material Management teams during the implementation of an IT solution within the broader Supply Chain organization. The role focuses on improving aircraft parts availability, repair order tracking, and inventory data accuracy to minimize aircraft ground time and enhance overall supply chain performance. The position plays a key role in maintaining service levels, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting inventory optimization efforts during a time of significant process and system transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor part sparing levels, usage trends, and inventory allocation through operational data analysis
- Create and manage repair and exchange orders to support aircraft maintenance schedules
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely repairs and address delivery or quality concerns
- Track and communicate the status of urgent material orders to internal stakeholders
- Support demand forecasting, including buy vs. repair analysis
- Maintain part number records and system inventory data for accuracy and compliance
- Assist in the preparation of Inventory Disservice Reports and performance summaries
- Contribute to planning tools and forecasting dashboards for material analysis
- Facilitate physical inventory counts and record adjustments as necessary
- Analyze surplus, obsolete, or underperforming inventory in collaboration with planning teams
- Gather technical and logistical inputs from internal teams for planning and issue resolution
- Compile reports, performance metrics, and presentation materials
- Provide administrative and analytical support to supply chain projects and system implementations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis
- Demonstrated experience in spares forecasting
- Strong proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work in collaborative, team-based environments
- Bachelor's degree in Inventory Control, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, inventory, or materials planning
Qualifications:
- Background in production or materials planning
- Previous experience in the airline or aerospace industry
- Supply chain certifications (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with aircraft technical documentation (e.g., CMMs, IPCs, Task Cards)
