The purchasing analyst will work directly with the Director of Manufacturing Operations to perform all duties related to purchasing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for monitoring inventory levels for all raw materials to meet manufacturing requirements.
· Assess raw material inventory levels, and supplier lead times, to determine when a purchase order is required to keep manufacturing functioning optimally.
· Place purchase orders for raw materials, equipment, and / or services, to support all IMI departments.
· Ensure purchases are classified with the correct GL Codes by working closely with finance.
· Ensure supplier invoices are accurate and received by finance in a timely manner.
· Monitor open purchase orders for follow-up and on-time delivery.
· Assist in expediting urgent requests when necessary.
· Maintain accurate supplier information in the ERP system, including lead time and pricing.
· Collects data for performance analysis (on time delivery) of raw materials from suppliers for monthly score cards.
· Notify the warehouse team when purchase orders are due to arrive at IMI.
· Monitor purchase price variance and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
· Source secondary suppliers for all critical raw materials and work with product development to get them qualified.
· Manage Supply Chain projects as assigned.
· Monitor purchasing KPIs as set forth by management.
· Back up the front desk when needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
· Prior supply chain experience.
· Proficient in English (oral and written).
· Knowledge of computer programs to include good data entry skills, good math skills, and inventory control.
· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
· Strong communication and people skills.
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Problem solving and analytical skills.
· Strong attention to detail a must.
Qualifications:
· Four-year degree or associate’s degree with 2+ years of prior experience.
· Experience analyzing supply chain data to improve company communication and performance.
Physical / Mental Demands:
· Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
· Must be able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking.
· Occasionally required to lift and/or carry loads of up to 20 pounds.
· Work may require weekend and evening work.
· Work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be alert, able to concentrate, and use good judgment.
