TalentGrid Search is a recruitment solutions provider supporting clients across the United States. We have partnered with a leading global manufacturer in the Huntsville, AL area that is seeking a Supply Chain professional with a focus in Global Trade Compliance.
Job Summary:
The Analyst position will focus on Global Trade Compliance and responsible for supporting end-to-end supply chain operations while ensuring adherence to all relevant trade, customs, and regulatory compliance requirements. This role combines operational supply chain responsibilities with specialized knowledge of import/export regulations, supplier compliance, and risk management. The position is essential for maintaining a compliant, efficient, and resilient supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily supply chain activities including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
- Collaborate with sourcing, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.
- Analyze supply chain processes and identify opportunities for efficiency and risk reduction.
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international trade laws (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC, U.S. Customs, and FDA if applicable).
- Validate supplier compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and contract terms.
- Conduct product classifications using HTS.
- Assist in managing Free Trade Agreement (FTA) documentation and eligibility analysis (e.g., USMCA).
- Oversee restricted party screening, export license determinations, and end-use/end-user verification.
- Work with internal teams and third-party providers to manage customs documentation and broker coordination.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and internal controls, including shipping documentation, import/export filings, and supplier certifications.
- Assist in compliance audits, corrective action plans, and the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor supply chain risks related to sanctions, embargoes, and supplier country-of- issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in supply chain or logistics with a strong emphasis on trade or regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of U.S. and international trade regulations.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and trade compliance software tools.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of supply chain workflows with the ability to spot and address compliance risks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration.
- High attention to detail, especially in documentation and regulatory filings.
- Proficiency in Excel and supply chain analytics tools.
