Job Description
Role: Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer\n\nLocation: Warwick\n\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nDuration: 12 months +\n\nRate: £35-£55 P/hr Umbrella DOE\n\nA Snapshot of Your Day\n\nAs a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met, while fostering strong relationships with our clients suppliers.\n\nHow You'll Make an Impact\n\nLead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers - Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs)\nContain, manage and resolve Quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components identified at our clients assembly facilities, warehouses or customers globally.\nManage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues.\nAssist with process improvements.\nLead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process.\nInvestigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.\nIdentify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic Business\nAudit existing and potential suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place.\nDevelop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements\nInteract with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformances\nProduct manufacturing development and improvement via regular in person presence at supplier sites \n\nWhat You Bring\n\nRequired:\n\nTechnical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering\nFamiliarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines.\nComprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes \nKnowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)\nDemonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable.\nProven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously.\nSelf-motivated attitude and ownership of projects\nAbility to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end.\nKnowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.\nExperience working with or at manufacturing facilities \nExperience working with critical parts.
(Complex parts such as disc, shaft, complex assemblies) \n\nPreferred:\n\nProven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)\nSAP experience. \n\nWorking requirements:\n\nIn office presence - 2 days min per week\nNo legal travel regulations\nTravel to suppliers up to 50% \n\nRullion celebrates and supports and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants
