World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage and Bolton is currently looking to recruit 4x Supplier Quality Engineers.\n \nA strong background of Supplier Quality Engineering / Auditing is required.  Defence, Aerospace or Automotive industries would be great. \n \nRate: £45.00 per hour\nOvertime Rate: Hours worked over the standard 37 hours per week, will be paid at ‘time and a quarter’\nLocation: Stevenage or Bolton – depending on your preference  \nHybrid / Remote working: The role will likely be 1-2 days per week onsite and the rest working remote\nDuration: 6 or 12 Months initially with very likely extension. Contracts are often ongoing and long-term thereafter.  \nIR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)\nInterview process: One stage video interview\n \nSupplier Quality Engineers Job Description:\n \nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supplier Quality auditor to join the Supplier Quality Assurance team, supporting assurance of Mechanical & Electro-Mechanical suppliers \n \nThis opportunity provides the chance to work within a dynamic quality team.

The primary responsibility will be to plan and conduct supplier quality audits / surveillance activities to drive future process control. In addition, where applicable carry out inspection / verification activities to support the delivery of conforming production hardware. While ensuring adherence to our customer and supplier requirements.

\n \nThe Role:\n\nComplete scheduled Quality Assurance audits at suppliers using standardised tools \nConduct thorough verification / inspection of products to ensure they meet the required quality standards\nIdentify and document any non-conformities in the manufacturing process and deviations from the product specifications\nMaintain accurate and organized records of all quality control activities\nCommunicate findings to relevant departments / stakeholders and work cross functionally to implement root cause corrective actions at supplier\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of our products\nParticipate in the Project Quality network to report and share the quality assurance status linked to applicable suppliers\nProvide non-conformance, root cause & corrective action data analysis and summary reports into senior stakeholders \nSkills and Experience:\n\nTrained auditor to AS9100 is essential\nExperienced in conducting Quality Audits & surveillance\nIdeally minimum HNC/HND in Engineering would be desirable\nExperienced quality professional within Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electronic Engineering\nProven track record in Quality, Supply Chain or Manufacturing\nIdeally defence, automotive or aerospace experience\nFamiliarity with GD&T and able to use a variety of metrology equipment (where applicable)\nPractitioner of current QA problem solving and improvement methods (8D, RCA, DMAIC, etc.)\nStrong knowledge of the product lifecycle management\nStrong analytical skills; ability to run reports in Excel, use SAP QM system, and document management tools\nContinuous improvement awareness and ability to use own initiative to deliver improvements\nExperience is NADCAP is desirable\nGood planning and organising skills to ensure multiple tasks are prioritised and monitored to deliver set objectives\nAbility to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organisation\nRecognise and understand regulatory and certification requirements, and respond to them
