Job Description
Job Title: Supplier Project Engineer
The Supplier Project Engineer plays a critical role in supporting a global supply chain by managing supplier-based engineering initiatives. This includes implementing new capital tooling and equipment, driving new product introductions, resolving quality issues, and leading process improvements at supplier sites. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design, process control, materials, and measurement systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead supplier capital qualifications from kickoff through production implementation
- Oversee validation/qualification protocols and ensure timely execution and reporting
- Manage equipment procurement and installation at supplier sites globally
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, purchasing, and supplier teams
- Support quality investigations and implement corrective actions
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Plastics, Manufacturing/Industrial or related)
- 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
Skills:
- Experience with supplier quality and manufacturing in regulated industries
- Familiarity with risk mitigation and root cause analysis tools
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SAS, JMP, or Minitab
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
- Six Sigma or Lean certification a plus
- Experience with cGMP practices desirable
