Essential Functions

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of facilities maintenance staff, including scheduling, work assignments, and performance monitoring.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of facility systems such as HVAC, compressed air, cooling towers, plumbing, lighting, fire protection and electrical systems.
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Monitor and maintain building infrastructure, including production support, utilities, roofs, parking lots, and grounds.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, local codes, etc.)
  • Manage maintenance budgets, control cost, and recommend capital improvements.
  • Coordinate with production supervisors and managers to minimize disruptions during maintenance activities.
  • Oversee outside contractors and vendors for specialized ser ices, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Assist in planning, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and facility upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and work orders using tracking systems.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Special projects as required.

Additional Functions

  • Actively role model all company environmental, health and safety standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors, and Team Members.
  • Ability to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED. Associate or bachelor’s degree in industrial maintenance, Engineering, or related field .
  • 5 + years of experience in facility / plant maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and utility systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with CMMS software and preventive maintenance scheduling
  • Ability to lead, train and motivate a team in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, word, PowerPoint.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversee a group of maintenance technicians. Preventive maintenance tech, grounds keeper, electrician, HVAC tech, and group leader.
