\nThe Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Experienced or SeniorSubsystems Manufacturing Engineer located in Berkeley, MO.\n

Position Overview: \n
\n
\nWe are seeking a Experienced or Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership across manufacturing programs and production lines. This role emphasizes enterprise-level manufacturing strategy, process architecture, and organizational influence rather than focus on any single subsystem. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional initiatives that increase throughput, reduce cost, improve quality, and enable production scaling for complex aerospace products.\n

Key Responsibilities:\n
\n

\n
• Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, innovative producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies.

\n

• Conceptualize and oversee the implementation of the program architecture for build.

\n

• Develop manufacturing plans or concepts for high level program requirements.

\n

• Architect and drive investments in tooling, workstations, automation, and capital equipment; lead business cases and justification for manufacturing improvements.

\n

• Establish and maintain standardized processes, best practices and controls across production lines; champion scalable, repeatable solutions.

\n

• Lead complex problem solving and continuous improvement activities (root cause analysis, corrective actions, Six Sigma methodologies).

\n

• Integrate manufacturing considerations early into product and process decisions; represent manufacturing in design and program reviews.

\n

• Mentor, develop and provide technical oversight to engineering teams; review and approve engineering deliverables, installation plans, and process documentation.

\n

• Use data analytics, simulation and model-based approaches to validate processes, balance flow, and support capacity planning.

\n

• Coordinate cross-functional teams (design, quality, supply chain, production, industrial engineering) and external partners to deliver on schedule and on budget.

\n

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.\n
\n
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim/Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.\n
\n
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance\n
\n

Basic Qualifications (Required):\n
\n

\n
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

\n

• (Level 3) 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

\n

• Progressive manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace/defense or other complex, high-reliability manufacturing environments.

\n

• Experience with complex Aerospace Sub-Systems

\n

Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\n
\n

\n
• (Level 4) 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

\n

• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and model-based enterprise practices (MBD/MBE).

\n

• Experience with Final Assembly and Ramp operations.

\n

• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and reviewing/approving engineering work products.

\n

\nSummary pay range (Level 4): $126,650 - $171,350\n
